GTA 6 Release Date: Out of the most played and highly appreciated PC games the series of Grand Theft Auto has always maintained a special place in the hearts of the game lovers. Today if any game freak is asked about their top choices of the PC games, apart from action games like Dead Island, Hitman, etc, a very simple yet interesting game called GTA will also have a remarkable place. The most special thing about the game is that the story and the missions are simple yet interesting and challenging. Update: Going by some of the information that has been floating around recently, it is safe to say that GTA 6 should already be in development. Among the features that GTA 6 will come with, the one that has received the most amount of attention is the game’s possible location. There is little doubt that GTA 6, like its predecessor, will feature an open world gameplay. But speculations suggest that the upcoming game’s maps will be way bigger than GTA 5.

According to reports, Rockstar has apparently been scouting for locations abroad for GTA 6. Speculations about a Tokyo-based map were fueled after the developers travelled to Japan, presumably to check out the roads there. Possible locations suggested by other rumours ranged from London to even the whole of the USA, thereby pointing towards an expansive map of never-before-seen magnitude. However, many claim that the heavy references to London in the past GTA game were nothing short of  easter eggs for GTA 6.

Coming to the possible release date of GTA 6, the game is generally thought to be slated for a late 2018 launch. However, there is ample confusion surrounding the possible release date of GTA 6. Rockstar has recently announced another highly anticipated title, Red Dead Redemption 2, which is slated for a “Fall 2017” release. Many have taken this as a hint that Rockstar will put GTA 6 on hold for the time being, but that is not necessarily true as Rockstar being a huge name, the two games will have separate groups working on them. But having said that, Red Dead Redemption 2 will undoubtedly be the centre of focus for now.

But Rockstar usually follows a release window of four to five years in between its main releases in the GTA series. The developer also has a reputation to adhere to this window with the games in most of their reputed series: Red Dead Redemption 2 was announced six years after Red Dead Redemption, which was also spaced similarly from Red Dead Revolver which came out in 2004.

All things considered, it appears that we will hear something from the officials about GTA 6 soon. If RDR 2 releases in late 2017, GTA 6 may possibly release, or at least be announced in 2018. If that happens, GTA 6 may be released sometime in 2019, which would give the devs quite a bit of time to fine tune their work and have the  game ready to be launched.

Update as of 20th November, 2016: According to some rumors Rockstar will first be introducing GTA 6 beta version for its fans which are awaiting for this game for ages. It seems like GTA 6 beta will be introduced in mid 2019, and the original GTA 6 game will be come fully into the market by 2020 only.
