The new device is the third in line of its kind after the Mi Air Purifier 2, which the company had brought to India. There is no news currently about whether the Mi Air Purifier Pro will follow in the footsteps of it predecessor and make its way into the country. Xiaomi says that the new device comes with a redesigned airflow path and pressure system. The Xiaomi Mi Air Purifier Pro is capable of handling bigger areas owing to its larger build The Xiaomi Mi Air Purifier Pro has been launched in China at the price of CNY 1,499, which roughly translates to about 14,800 in Indian Rupees, and is expected to go on sale from November 11. The new device comes with a few impressive upgrades, the most notable among which is the OLED display which will obliterate the need for users to constantly check the Mi Home app on their phones to get readings about related details. The display on the Mi Air Purifier Pro will provide real-time information about the quality of air when used in conjunction with the Mi PM2.5 detector. The latter is a small device that resembles a small digital clock and is priced at CNY 399 (approximately Rs 4,000). The colour-encoded LED ring surrounding the display of the Xiaomi Mi Air Purifier Pro will show users the current state of the surrounding air, whereby green stands for good, orange for inferior but acceptable, and red indicates poor quality. The Mi Air Purifier Pro also has an automatic brightness setting feature, which adjusts itself according to the atmospheric light. The LED ring surrounding the OLED Display indicates air quality by colour The Xiaomi Mi Air Purifier Pro is larger in dimensions in comparison to its predecessors, measuring in at 735x200x260 mm and weighing in at nearly 10 kg. This significant hike in build pertains to the device being targeted particularly towards larger areas which could measure up to 60 square meters. The Mi Air Purifier Pro has a Clean Air Delivery Rate value of 500 cubic meters an hour and it comes with WiFi support, temperature and humidity sensor, and global power support. But one of the notable features of the new device is the laser particle sensor which is capable of detecting particles in the air as minute as 0.3 microns in diameter. The company adds that the device’s triple layer 360-degree filter can ably filter out dust, animal fur, and fine air impurities to give out clean, healthy air.
