BSNL Rolls out New Voice Calling Plans With Data Benefits for Consumers

Since the arrival of Reliance Jio on the Indian telecom market, all other service providers have been given a reality check. And that is particularly because of the cheaper plans that Reliance Jio has rolled out in the recent days. To counter that, BSNL has come out with a number of new tariff plans which will expectedly reduce the expenses of the consumers of BSNL. And as a part of the new plans that have been provided, users will get an added benefit of data balance on their devices.

BSNL has introduced a number of new tariff plans for its consumers that provide them with free voice call as well as data benefits

The first of the all new tariff plans that have been provided by BSNL, users of BSNL will be able to make 30 minutes of free voice calls to any other network every day after a recharge of Rs. 149. The validity of the recharge is for a month, and the calls made can be both local as well as STD. So comes as a real bonus for all the new customers of the BSNL network.

The second one in the new tariff plan that has been lately introduced by the government-run telecom service provider, a user can make unlimited free phone calls if they recharge their phone number with Rs. 439. The recharge will be valid for 3 months, and the limit for making phone calls to the users of telecom service providers other than BSNL has been set at 30 minutes per day.

Both the plans have been effective from January 24 and are available in every nook and corner of the country. Even the users who want to port out to BSNL from any other connection will be available for the offer.

Besides this, three other plans have been brought in for the consumers of telecom service from BSNL. The STV – 26 allows the user to make voice calls to any other number at free of cost during a validity of 26 hours. The voice calls can be local or STD. The second offer termed as the ‘Combo 2601’ will offer 1.5 times the call value while the ‘Combo 6801’ will double the value. The offers will be available on the market from January 25. The STV-26 will be available until January 31 while the ‘Combo 2601’ and ‘Combo 6801’ will be available until March 31.

The ‘Combo 2601’ will hand the user a primary balance of Rs. 2,600 and a secondary balance of Rs. 1,300 in their account. The primary will remain valid for an unlimited period of time while the secondary balance will be exhausted by the end of the third month from the date of recharge. The ‘Combo 6801’ provides Rs. 6,800 for both the primary and the secondary account and follows the same policy as far as the validity of the balance is concerned. The secondary account balance will get exhausted first, and then the users can make use of the primary balance.

This is something really innovative as far as BSNL is concerned. This is because, as the BSNL Chairman and Managing Director Anupam Srivastav has been quoted saying that “This is the first-of-its-kind offer…” and it will provide a flexible method of top-ups and recharges for the consumers of government-run telecom service provider.
