Samsung Galaxy A3, A5 and A7 (2017) Prices Revealed Following Launch in Russia

The 2017 editions of the Samsung Galaxy A3, the Galaxy A5 and the Galaxy A7 have been launched in Russia, making it the first country to have all the three flagship phones in stores and on sale. While the entire world is awaiting the arrival of the Samsung Galaxy S8, this trio of waterproof phones will help gauge the public mood and will serve as a stopgap launch to help maintain the anticipation regarding the S8. Although the three new phones are yet to make its way to other countries, the prices have thus been released.

The Samsung Galaxy A3 2017 comes for RUB 22,990, which translates to $387 or around Rs.26,400. The Galaxy A5 is priced at RUB 27,990 or $471 which is roughly Rs. 32,200. The last of the A series, the Galaxy A7 is available for RUB 32,990, a shade over $555 or roughly Rs. 37,900. It must be mentioned here that not all of the stores in Russia are said to store all the three versions. We had previously reported that the new devices could launch in January and they have.

The Samsung Galaxy A3 2017 has a 4.7-inch HD Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of native storage. The new phone features a 16MP primary camera with an 8MP front snapper. A 1.6GHz octa-core processor powers the phone and it runs on Android OS v6.0.

The Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 has a 5.20-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage. Both the front and the rear cameras are 16MP and the phone is powered by an impressive 3000 mAh battery. This new device too runs on the Android OS v6.0 while the 1.9GHz octa-core processor offers superior performance. Samsung is betting big on this new phone.

The Samsung Galaxy A7 2017 is the biggest and the most powerful phone of the A series. A 5.7-inches Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution and a pixel density of 386 ppi pixel make this a very competent offering. An octa-core 1.9 GHz processor and the Exynos 7880 chipset power this phone. The Galaxy A7 carries the Mali-T830MP2 GPU. The new smartphone is powered by a mammoth 3600 mAh battery.
