Noted tipster Evan Blass has done it again. In his latest tweet, the alleged spec of this year’s mega-launch, the Samsung Galaxy S8+ has shed it secrets. The Samsung Galaxy S8+ is expected to debut alongside the Samsung Galaxy S8 in March with the two new smartphones expected to go on sale come April. Of course, this could be a rumour of which there have been plenty this season. the new Samsung Galaxy S8+ has an improved screen size with amended security features and wireless charging.
Samsung Galaxy S8+ Specs and Features
The new Samsung Galaxy S8+ will have a 6.2-inch screen in a full rectangle form. The size decreases marginally when the rounded corners, alleged to be the defining feature of both of Samsung’s big-ticket launches this year, are taken into account. It measures 6.1-inch with the rounded corners. The display of the new Galaxy S8+ will be stunning with a Quad HD Super AMOLED display rumored to be on the cards. The new Galaxy S8+ will have a decent 4GB of RAM, a feature which could have been improved upon. The native or inbuilt storage is 64GB can be increased by a microSD card, which will be sold separately. The camera features on the upcoming Galaxy S8+, going by the leaked information, will be excellent. The rear primary camera is a 12-megapixel ‘dual pixel‘ one, with some new technological wizardry expected. The front snapper is a decent 8-megapixel one which will be competent in taking selfies as well as for video calling. The new phone will run on the Android OS, although the version is not specified. Going by recent rumours and leaks, the Android Nougat 7.0 is expected. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC is also expected to power the new phones, although the leaked specs does not touch on this issue.
Other security features will include an iris scanner and Samsung Knox, the proprietary security package. The new Samsung Galaxy S8+ will support wireless charging thanks to a charging pad which will be sold separately. the Samsung Pay feature will be available for faster digital transactions. The Samsung Galaxy S8 and the Samsung Galaxy S8+ will be very important for the future of the Samsung smartphone empire. The two recalls and the subsequent cancellation of the ambitious Galaxy S7 and the Note 7 last year led to billions of dollars in losses last year.
