Noida-based mobile manufacturing company Lava has added two new mid ranged smartphones in their repertoire. The new additions are the Lava Z25, priced at INR 18,000, and the Lava Z10, priced at INR 11,500. Both smartphones boast of premium metal finished bodies and will be available at a select few store across the capital from Thursday, March 23. Availability will be expanded to other cities throughout India after some time.
Coming to the features and specs of the devices, the company reveals that the more premium of the two, Lava Z25, comes with a 5.5-inch HD IPS display with a pixel resolution of 720 x 1280 and a 2.5D curved glass on top. The front panel also houses a fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button. In terms of the optics, the Lava Z25 sports a primary 13 MP unit equipped with a Sony sensor and f/2.0 aperture. The secondary front camera is an 8 MP unit that comes with a Spotlight flash for better pictures in the dark. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. It is backed by an impressive 3,020mAh battery and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Lava’s own Star OS 3.3 skin on top.
The Lava Z10, on the other hand, sports a 5-inch HD IPS display also with 2.5D glass on top. There is an 8 MP camera with f/2.0 aperture and an LED flash at the back along with a 5 MP shooter with a Spotlight flash. The Z10 is also powered by an octa-core processor but with 2GB of RAM. The battery is a modest 2,620mAh one and like the Z25, the Z10 runs Android 6.0 with the Star OS 3.3 on top. However, the lower end smartphone of the two does not compromise on essential modern features like a fingerprint scanner.
The Lava Z25 will come in two color options- Champagne Gold and Grey, while the Lava Z10 will be available only in Gold. It will only be a matter of time before Lava launches these on a wider scale.
