Asus is already making headlines as it continues to make inroads in the domestic budget smartphone market. Days after the consumer technology giant launched a new series of new smartphones, it announced the launch of the new Asus ZenFone Go 5.5 (ZB552KL), a budget smartphone with a series of uniformly standard features priced conveniently at Rs 8,499. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera and 2GB of RAM.
The new Asus ZenFone Go 5.5 (ZB552KL) will be a dual-SIM smartphone which runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow along with the company’s proprietary ZenUI 3.0 skin on top. Also on the display front will be a 5.5-inch HD (with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels). The display screen is an IPS LCD display which, Asus claims, can provide up to 500 nits of brightness, and also comes equipped with a Bluelight Filter.
Under the hood of the Asus ZenFone Go 5.5 (ZB552KL) is a quad-core Snapdragon 410 SoC (the clock speed of which is still unspecified) which is coupled with 2GB of RAM. Come to photography and we see that the device features a 13-megapixel rear camera together with dual-LED real tone flash with a f/2.0 aperture. The front camera has a 5-megapixel sensor and also a similar f/2.0 aperture. The company is also boasting about its PixelMaster 3.0 app. This app has many superior modes like Back Light (HDR) Mode, a sensible Low Light Mode, a Manual Mode (for DSLR-like camera detail settings), Real Time Beautification Mode, as well as Super Resolution Mode (for up to 4X resolution photos), and a superb selfie mode as well.
Other features on the new Asus ZenFone Go 5.5 (ZB552KL) include 16GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded via a dedicated microSD card by up to 128GB. Other connectivity options will also include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, and Asus has a very decent 3.5mm audio jack, and FM radio. The Asus ZenFone Go 5.5 (ZB552KL) is powered by a 3000mAh battery. The new smartphone measures 153.4×76.44×10.95mm and weighs 168 grams. Also on board are extra features like an accelerometer, an ambient light sensor, and a digital compass. There is also a proximity sensor on board. One of the main features includes a dual internal mic with noise cancellation for improved call clarity and overall quality.
