After getting launched in China in October 2016, Meizu M5 has now been launched in India at a price of Rs. 10,499. Available exclusively on online shopping website Tata Cliq, the device comes in two color variants – Blue and Champagne Gold. Its 3070 mAh battery offers up to 66 hours of music playback, 37 hours of talk time, 9 hours of gaming and 5 hours of photography.
One of its major features is its ability to support 4G VoLTE, which will help users operate Reliance Jio network.
When it was launched in China last year, it came in two different storage variants. The 2GB RAM/16GB internal storage was priced at CNY 699 (which is around Rs. 6,500 in Indian value ) whereas the 3GB RAM/32GB internal storage was priced at CNY 899 (approximately Rs. 8,300). Currently, only the 3GB RAM./32GB internal storage variant is available in India.
Meizu M5 runs on Yun OS 5.1 with Flyme OS 5.5 skin on top. It also supports a hybrid dual-SIM slot (Nano+Nano) which doubles up the second slot as a microSD card for storage expansion of up to 128GB as well. It is powered by MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor with Mal T860 GP and 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM.
Speaking of display, the device sports a 5.2-inch HD 2.5D curved glass display having a pixel density of 282ppi.
The 3.5mm audio jack, charging point and speakers are all located at the bottom of the device. The latest flagship by Meizu, the M5 comes with a polycarbonate body and has its power and volume buttons on the right-hand side.
Coming to the camera, the device sports a 13-megapixel primary camera with dual-tone LED flash with PDAF, f/2.2 aperture and 5P lens. It also has a 5-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture and 4P Lens, as per NDTV Gadget 360 Degree.
Weighing 138gm, Meizu M5 measures 147.28*72.8*8mm. Its connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS support and 4G VoLTE, as mentioned earlier.
