With OPPO just confirming that the new kid on the block, the OPPO R11 will be announced on June 10, it now seems that company is intent on a new charging technique. This was just released on OPPO’s official Weibo (which is a Chinese social networking site) page. Apparently, the OPPO R11 will ship with the lightning fast VOOC Super Flash Charge, OPPO’s proprietary charging technology, and we have reasons to believe that it will be extremely fast. VOOC Super Flash Charge was announced in February last year; OPPO states that it can charge up a smartphone from 0 to full charge in only 15 minutes. Note that these numbers are based on smartphones which have a smaller 2,500mAh battery. For batteries with a 3,000mAh capacity, it should take some more time, which is, still, very fast as well.
OPPO has laid out some details in the teaser, which suggest that charging the OPPO R11 for only 5 minutes shall provide the user with 2 hours of talk time before the battery gives way. This is very impressive work as well. the OPPO R11 will ship with a 3,000mAh battery, which will be well accepted as well. We have already covered the OPPO R11 in sme details, as you can see here. We know of some of the specs and features that the new OPPO R11 will feature. It will be made out of metal and will have a dual camera setup on the back. Also on board will be a fingerprint scanner said to be lower than the phone’s display.
We believe that the OPPO R11 will launch alongside the OPPO R11 Plus n June 10.
OPPO R11 Specs and Features
The OPPO R11 will come with a 5.5-inch fullHD (along with a resolution of 1920 x 1080) display, together with 4GB of RAM alongside 64GB of native/internal storage. The device may well be powered by the Snapdragon 660 64-bit octa-core processor. We expect to see a 3,000mAh battery powering the device.
Optics and photography will be taken care of by a 20-megapixel and 16-megapixel sensors on the back of the OPPO R11 while a single 16-megapixel front snapper will provide good selfies and video calling. Also on board will be the superb Android 7.1.1 Nougat which will come pre-installed. Overlaid will be OPPO’s custom UI, appropriately called Color OS. A Type-C USB port will not be included apparently.
