Intex hasn’t been launching anything of late, but the company just released a budget smartphone – Intex Aqua Zenith – that supports 4G VoLTE and comes with a low price tag of Rs 3,999. Besides the 4G support, the device offers some of the most basic features that one can expect from a handset what comes at such a low price. The handset will be exclusively available in the e-commerce site ShopClues.
Made for the Tier III and Tier IV markets in India, the Intex Aqua Zenith offers a 5-inch display with 480 x 854 pixels resolution. It is backed by 1 GB of RAM along with 1.1GHz MediaTek MT6592 Quad-core. There is 8 GB internal space that you can expand for up to 128 GB by using a microSD card. The phone runs Android 7.0 Nougat, dual SIM, and 4G connection, which is the highlight of the device.
The Intex Aqua Zenith sports 5-megapixel camera on the rear and 3-megapixel camera on the front. It offers connectivity options like Wifi and sensors like Ambient light, Accelerometer, and Proximity sensor. The handset is backed by a 2,000 mAH lithium-ion battery.
During the launch, Ishita Bansal, Product Head – Mobiles, Intex Technologies stated that she is very optimistic about their partnership with ShopClues. “Intex and ShopClues share the focus towards the Tier III – Tier IV Markets. With the right product and the strength of ShopClues in the smartphone category, there can be nothing but growth,” she stated.
It’s worth mentioning that last month Intex had launched the Intex Aqua S3 in India with a slightly higher price tag of Rs. 5,777. The highlight of this particular handset is that it comes equipped with QR code scanner along with in-demand pre-installed apps like Vistoso, Gaana, etc. The handset sports features that are a little better than what Aqua Zenith seems to offer.
