Lava International Limited, which is an Indian mobile phone manufacturing brand, has re-entered the smartphone market with a new offering. Called the Lava A93, this new device is a 3G-equipped handset which will have a decent 5.5-inch display besides 2GB of RAM. All this can be yours for a price of Rs 7,999.
Lava has traditionally been known for manufacturing decent, but hardly spectacular, smartphones for reasonable price tags. That being said, the new Lava A93 does not compare favorably with the other brands offered at the same price point which provide considerably better features. Some of the better rivals include the Xiaomi Redmi 4A, the Moto C Plus, and the Karbonn Aura Note 2. Even the newly launched Infocus Turbo 5 has a better overall package.
Lava A93 Specs and Features
The new offering from Lava International Limited offers two primary features which are often also seen on other mobile devices. One of them is the 5.5-inch HD display with a display resolution of 1280×720 pixels. Also, the new phone will feature a decent 1.2 GHz Quad Core Processor, which is said to be pretty efficient. While the battery capacity is 3000 mAh, it will be reasonably powerful and will last longer given that there is a Quad Core processor.
The new device will offer 2GB of RAM and 16GB of native or onboard storage. As far as the software is concerned, the Lava A53 will run on the dated Android 6.0 Marshmallow. This will be a dual-SIM smartphone and will be available in variants of gold and gray color. Also, as far as camera and optics are concerned, the device boasts an 8MP rear camera and 2MP front snapper. There will be LED flashes on both sides as well.
At a price point of Rs 7,999, the device will join the ranks of devices which have mid-level specs and features and are not priced too steeply. Our only problem is that the phone lacks 4G support.
