A sapphire blue variant of the uber-classy HTC U11 will launch in India today: pre-orders will also start right away. Around one month ago, we had informed you that another variant of the HTC U11 had received FCC certification. The phone itself had launched in India last month, boasting of excellent specs. Now, with a new color variant of the device, HTC will look to position itself firmly in the upper segments of the smartphone market.
HTC India took to Twitter to announce that the new color variant would launch in India today, 24 July. Till yesterday, only two color options available for the grand device were Amazing Silver and Brilliant Black. Now, interested users have one more color to spice up their fashion with.
The accompanying tweet reads: “Adding more color this monsoon, the #HTCU11 Sapphire Blue is coming soon to India. Pre-order starts on July 24, stay tuned.”
HTC U11 Sapphire Blue Specs and Features
With a price tag of Rs 51,990, the new HTC device can be a user’s delight with a wide variety of specs and features. It features the unique Edge Sense technology which makes it easier to execute select controls by squeezing the device’ sides. It also features a 5.5-inch QHD 1440p Super LCD 5 display that also has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection for extra measure. At its heart is a super powerful 2.45GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 835 chipset.
The HTC U11 has a neat 6GB of RAM and a very handy 128GB of native or on board storage. You can also upgrade the storage capacity to up to a mammoth 2TB via a microSD card. Also important is the fact that given the Adreno 540 graphics unit on board, this phone will play an excellent host to memory hogging video games. Three of the features we like the most are the hybrid dual SIM card slots, the proprietary HTC Sense UI, and the 3,000 mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0.
