The rumors were on the air for quite a long time that Chinese tech conglomerate, Xiaomi is all set to release a toned down version of the Xiaomi Mi 6, and now the new renders and specifications surfaced on the internet have indicated that the stripped down version of the Mi 6, named as the Xiaomi Mi 6C is going to be launched very soon.
The latest information regarding the Xiaomi Mi 6C probable price, specs, designs and storage variant has been spotted on the famous Chinese tech-based site Baidu. According to those renders, the upcoming Xioami Mi 6C is going to feature the company’s very own Surge S2 SoC processor or more precisely a Quad-core 16nm Surge S2 Cortex-A73 (2.2GHz) + Cortex-A53 (1.8GHz), under the hood. Moreover, the device is believed to come in two different variants, depending on their storage capacity. The basic version of the Xiaomi Mi 6C might sport 4GB RAM along with 64GB ROM capacity, where as the other variant may come with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
Coming on to the aesthetic aspect, the Xiaomi Mi 6C is expected to sport almost the same design of the already launched Xiaomi Mi 6. The Mi 6C is believed to boast the same chamfered edges of the Mi 6, although there will be no dual camera setup at the rear end of the device.According to the latest leak, the only main sensor of the upcoming smartphone is placed at the top left accompanied with the flash module.
As we have already mentioned, the Mi 6C will be a trimmed down version of the original Mi 6, the device is going to sport 10mm top bezels, 2.5mm-wide side bezels and sleeker in look. Apart from that, the Mi 6C will not come with the 3.5mm headphone jack and will sport the home button, where the fingerprint sensor will be placed, just like the flagship of this particular series. The USB Type-C port and dual speaker grills are going to be placed at the bottom of the phone if we believe the renders are true.
On the optics front, the latest specification details hinted that Xiaomi Mi 6C might feature a 12-megapixel primary camera at the back and a 5-megapixel secondary camera at the front end of the phone. Features like optical image stabilization and 4K video capture will be present at the primary camera and will use a Sony IMX386 sensor to capture the images.
The latest renders have also given us a brief information about the probable price tag of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 6C smartphone. The basic variant with 4GB RAM is most likely to come with a price tag of 1999 Yuan (almost Rs 19,000). On the other hand, the 6GB version may cost the users 2499 Yuan (almost Rs 24,000).
