Lenovo plans on introducing two of its highly-anticipated products in India come September. They are the Lenovo K8 and the Lenovo K8 Plus. We have previously covered the Lenovo K8 Note device when it went on sale in the country as an Amazon exclusive product. The K8 Note was received well by the domestic market and this has prompted the giant to launch its two other K8 devices in the country.
This report was the first to point out that the two devices were India-bound. Although Lenovo has not said anything about the two devices, we expect that both the Lenovo K8 and the K8 Plus, the Plus variant being the more premium device, are expected in India by September. Expect the two phones to make landfall by the second half of the next month.
So, what about the specs and features of the two devices? We had previously brought you the report that the Lenovo K8 Note and the K8 Plus had been spotted on GeekBench, showing off some of their features. This is the only source to go on as far as the specs sheet is concerned. From what we know, the Lenovo K8 and the K8 Plus will have a deca-core MediaTek Helio P25 processor clocked at a very decent 1.69GHz. This highly efficient processor will work in tandem with 3GB of RAM. We also know that the devices will run on the Android 7.1.1 Nougat right out of the box. Adequate support will be provided thanks to the presence of the Mali-T888 GPU. Such a setup will surely make for a very attractive device.
As of now, we are unaware of how much the new devices will cost. Given that the Lenovo K8 Note had retailed for Rs 12,999 and Rs 13,999 for its two variants, we expect that this new pair of smartphones will come for around Rs 10,000. Stay tuned for further updates.
