Lenovo had launched the Lenovo Z5 earlier this year and later it was revealed by a company executive that a new variant called Lenovo Z5 Pro would be launched on October 1. But that did not happen and now, the company’s VP Chang Cheng has shared some new posters of the Lenovo Z5 Pro on Chinese microblogging site Weibo which reveals that the smartphone will be launched on November 1. The posters further suggest that the Lenovo Z5 Pro will feature an in-display fingerprint sensor and a camera slider.
Cheng has shared the posters on Weibo, which seem to be the official posters of the Lenovo Z5 Pro and it reveals the launch date to be November 1. The poster outlines the back panel of the smartphone with a camera slider and hints at a notch less display. Another poster shared by Cheng shows the presence of an in-display fingerprint sensor along with a dual camera module at the front. This indicates that the smartphone will feature dual selfie cameras for taking snaps and video calling. It would also embrace the in-display fingerprint scanner technology already implemented by other smartphone makers like Oppo and Vivo.
However, these revelations should be taken with a pinch of salt given the vast number of false claims made by the company and Chang himself ahead of the Lenovo Z5 launch. To recall, Chang had shared several teasers of the Lenovo Z5 just ahead of its launch that claimed a notch-less display, a mammoth battery, and massive 4TB storage. However, none of those claims turned out to be true when the smartphone got launched finally. We can expect the same to happen with the Lenovo Z5 Pro as well so nothing should be taken for granted as yet. Other details about the Lenovo Z5 Pro are scarce at the moment so this would not be the right time to speculate about this smartphone. For now, we have to wait till November 1 to see whether the smartphone gets launched and what are the actual specs.
