Lenovo Z5 Pro with Snapdragon 710, Alert Slider and More Launched

Chinese technology company Lenovo has launched a new smartphone called Lenovo Z5 Pro. The device becomes the successor to Lenovo Z5 launched earlier this year and features an all-screen no-notch design. The device also comes with a new slider mechanism.

The Lenovo Z5 Pro will be available in China starting November 1 and is expected to be launched in other countries in the coming days. Talking about the price, the base variant of the device with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage has been priced at 1998 Yuan (Rs 21,000 approximately) and the premium variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage has been priced at 2298 Yuan (Rs 24,000 approximately).

Coming to the specifications, the Lenovo Z5 Pro sports a 6.39-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2340 X 1080 pixels. It is protected on the top by 2.5D Curved Gorilla Glass. Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC under the hood, the device features 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of inbuilt storage space. It also features an in-display fingerprint sensor as an added security measure.

On the optics front, the Lenovo Z5 Pro features dual camera setup on the rear panel with a 16-megapixel primary sensor and a 24-megapixel secondary sensor. On the front, it features a 16-megapixel primary RGB sensor and an 8-megapixel IR camera for face unlocking even in low light conditions.

Connectivity options in the Lenovo Z5 Pro include both 4G LTE and VoLTE. Other options include Bluetooth 5.0, dual channel WiFi 802.11 ac, GPS and NFC. The smartphone is powered by a 3350mAh battery with a USB Type-C port for charging. It does not feature the 3.5mm headphone connector jack.

The smartphone runs on ZUI 10 based on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box and there is no information currently about the availability of Android 9 Pie. The company is yet to announce the launch date and price of the smartphone for the Indian markets.
