Nokia 8 Goes Live With Snapdragon 835 Processor And Dual Cameras: Details

The Nokia 8 has taken a long time to arrive and now that it is finally here, we cannot help gushing over its stunning specs and features. We have previously covered the new Nokia flagship, manufactured by fellow Finnish company HMD Global, in some detail. We had also detailed the release date of the Nokia 8 and informed you that Carl Zeiss lenses would be on board, as would dual rear cameras. Now, that last part has been proven correct, as has some other predictions.

Nokia 8 Specs and Features (Confirmed)

This flagship device will ship with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, which is also used by other luminaries in the handset market. This device is expected to make its way to India before Diwali. The new Nokia handset boasts of a 5.3-inch IPS QHD display that has a quality resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. Protecting the device will be the superb Corning Gorilla Glass 5 which will come with a 2.5D finish for rounded edges and a better visual aesthetic sense.

The Nokia 8 will soon be up for grabs

The build quality of the new Nokia 8 is also excellent: it will arrive in a 6000 series aluminum body and has on offer 4 different color options: of these, two will have a glossy finish and the remaining duo will have a matte touch to them. The colors are Polished Copper (which we had covered previously), Polished Blue, Tempered blue besides Steel color.

The gadget will run on pure stock Android 7.1.1 and Nokia has said that the latest updates will be provided without any delay. The SD 835 processor will be an octa-core one with four 2.5GHz Kryo cores paired with four 1.8GHz Kryo cores. Also on board will be 4GB of LPPDDR4X RAM which will be paired with 64GB of internal/native storage. The latter feature is expandable to up to 256GB.

Nokia 8 Camera Features

The Nokia 8 is destined to be a photographer’s delight. The dual lens camera on the back includes one 13-megapixel sensor color sensor armed with OIS and a 13-megapixel monochrome sensor that has dual-tone Flash. Also aboard is an aperture of f/2.0, PDAF or Phase Detection Auto Focus and IR range finder. Like we had reported earlier, the cameras carry the famous Carl Zeiss branding. The front snapper has a 13-megapixel sensor with  PDAF and will be able to shoot 4K videos without any problems.

Nokia 8 Price and Release Date

As far as the Nokia 8 price is concerned, it comes for 599 euros in the European markets which means that it will come for around Rs 45,000 in the Indian market. The device will launch just within the festive season, right around Diwali.
