Swipe Technologies, known for manufacturing budget smartphones, has launched a new device in the country. Called the Swipe Neo Power, this new smartphone comes for Rs 2,999 and has very average, though competent, properties. Besides, devices made by Swipe have been covered by us in the past, including the Swipe Konnect Prime, which you can read about here, and the Swipe Elite Note, which is a very good big-screen device, as we have seen earlier.
Swipe Neo Power Specs and Features
The new Swipe Neo Power is basically a watered down version of the Konnect Prime device, as the specs and features suggest. While certain features may seem to be roundly underwhelming, it must be mentioned that such devices are meant for mass circulation and need not be too feature-heavy. Devices like these are also used to enable users of feature phones to jump start their smartphone dreams.
The Swipe Neo Power comes with a 4-inch HD FWVGA display and a display resolution of 800 x 480p. There is also a very good addition here: the presence of Corning Gorilla Glass to offer extra protection. At the core of the device is a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, which will work in tandem with 512MB of RAM. The OS is Android Marshmallow 6.0, which, although dated, is pretty decent given the specs. Also on board is 4GB of native storage which is expandable to up to 32GB.
As far as the cameras are concerned, there is a 5-megapixel autofocus primary camera on the back which has an LED flash. The front snapper has a 2-megapixel sensor. The new Swipe Neo Power has a 2,500 mAh battery, which Swipe has claimed, will offer 6 hours of talk time besides offering nearly 200 hours of standby time. Available in shades of black, grey, and gold, the new device offers Dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and a very handy 3.5 mm headphone jack. The device can be yours for Rs 2,999.
