Honor V10 With AI Coming Early Next Year

Honor’s president, George Zhao, has announced that the next generation Honor V10, reputed to succeed the Honor V9, will come with artificial intelligence or AI onboard. AI is the technology of the future and this will put the company in good stead as far as the future is concerned. The announcement came at the IFA 2017, ongoing at Berlin, Germany, and one of the biggest technological exhibitions in the world.

The Huawei Honor 9 is a very good device and stands its own ground against the likes of the Sony Xperia XA2, as you can see in our face-to-face. The next in line in the Honor V series will have to exceed expectations. That being said, the V9 range is not going away anytime soon: the new Honor V9 Play is coming soon.

The new Honor V10 to have AI onboard

Recently, the company has unveiled the HiSilicon Kirn 970 SoC, which is capable of hosting its own neural processing unit or NPU. We already know that the Huawei Mate 10 and the Mate 10 Pro will likely have the new chipset, one of the most powerful in the market. It is a direct competitor of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset.

Since the Honor V9 comes with the Kirin 960 SoC and 6GB of RAM, we expect that the V10 will come with the new Kirin 970 chipset. How much RAM it will feature is not known as of now, but it is expected to feature at least 6GB of RAM and above. Nowadays, 8GB of RAM is also not unheard of.

Now, we do not know when the new Honor V10 will release. However, given historical precedents, we believe that the new gadget will make landfall in the first quarter of next year. Also, initially at least, the models will be available only in China, with global sales commencing later. It may not carry the moniker of the Honor V10 abroad.
