The wait for the new Huawei Mate 10 is almost over. This new flagship device is set to launch on October 16. besides, the Huawei Mate 10, two other variants will launch: the Huawei Mate 10 Pro and the Mate 10 Lite, the last of which is a budget variant. Of these three new devices, one common feature is the new and enormously powerful chipset which has been fabricated by the same company, which may have led to lowered costs.
The real-life photos of the Huawei Mate 10 were leaked by noted tipster Evan Blass. Judging by the looks of the device, it does not look too different from the Mate 9, which is the immediate predecessor. The front panel of the Huawei Mate 10 was leaked earlier as well. Also, there were reports that the new Huawei device would be a bezel-less device which would have a full-screen display. However, that is not likely to be the case.

A Twitter user had asked Blass if the new device would be that design but the tipster confirmed that the bezel-less, full-screen model that has been anticipated would be the Huawei Mate 10 Pro. Enthusiasts will recall that last year, the Huawei Mate 9 had launched alongside the Mate 9 Pro, the latter of which had a curved edge display. This year, since the bezel-less design is trendy, it is bound to be picked up by the company.
That said, this year’s Huawei Mate 10 has a less pronounced top and bottom bezel, while the side bezels are ultra thin and the screen to body ratio has also seen a remarkable improvement. This new device has at its heart the new and very powerful Kirin 970 chipset. Also on board will be a 5.9-inch display that has a display resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. This new HiSilicon Kirin 970 chipset is Huawei’s first 10nm fabrication-based chip with AI capabilities. As far as imaging is concerned, the new Huawei Mate 10 will come with Leica-branded dual rear camera setup.
