Lenovo has decided to introduce the all-new Lenovo K8 Plus in India. In fact, it will start sales tomorrow. This new device is a Flipkart exclusive and its two main features are the dual rear cameras and the fingerprint sensor for enhanced security. We had earlier reported that the K8 and the K8 Plus would come to India in September. Now, that date is upon us.
Lenovo K8 Plus Specs and Features
The specs and features on board the new Lenovo K8 Plus are very good. In the tweet you see below, you can clearly see the dual camera setup on the rear which is very similar to the setup we found on the Lenovo K8 Note. These two cameras have a vertical setup; there is also a dual-LED flash on board. Just below the rear cameras, we can make out the fingerprint sensor in the middle. On the left hand of the device is a volume rocker button. Going by a recent teaser, we believe that the new K8 Plus will have a dedicated button for media play/pause. This might indicate that Dolby Audio is also present.
We had also spotted the device on Geekbench, where we saw it running on the Android Nougat 7.1.1 OS. The Lenovo K8 Plus had received a total of 861 points in the single-core test. We had also seen how it had performed in the multi-core test, where it had received a very handsome 3761 points. From what we learned off Geekbench, this new Lenovo device is set to have 3GB of RAM besides a MediaTek Helio X20 deca-core processor (10 cores) clocked at 1.69 GHz. Thi will work in tandem with the excellent Mali T888 GPU. Just like the new Lenovo K8 Note, the K8 Plus too will run on stock Android 7.1 Nougat. Watch this space for more updates.
