A couple of weeks ago we reported that Vivo X20 gets spotted on TENAA. Not only that, a leaked live video of the upcoming handset was also surfaced on the internet. Now finally, the Chinese tech giant has announced the release date of the upcoming Vivo X20, and it is scheduled on 21st September. The developers of the handset have started sending invitations for the launch event and we have got some idea about the probable specifications of the Vivo X20 from various sources.
Talking about the specifications, according to the TENAA listing, the upcoming handset will be available in two different variants depending on the size of the screen, the Vivo X20 and Vivo X20A (or Vivo X20 Plus), and both the variants will feature a dual camera setup and a fingerprint sensor at the rear end. Moreover, as per the live image which gets leaked on Weibo, as we mentioned above, the upcoming handset is going to be powered by a 2.2GHz Snapdragon 660 chipset, unlike the Vivo V7+ which houses a Snapdragon 450 processor under the hood.
Not only that, the leaked image also suggests the Vivo X20 is expected to flaunt a 5.2-inch full-HD display with 1080×1920 pixel resolutions, where as the bigger model, the Vivo X20Plus is pegged to feature a 5.5-inch full-HD display with the same pixel resolution.Both the models are also expected to feature 6GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage capacity, and is going to be backed by 3500mAh batteries.
On the optics front, both Vivo X20 and Vivo X20 Plus is believed to boast 24-megapixel front snappers to attract the selfie lovers. Some reports also suggested the fingerprint sensor of the handsets will be embedded on the screen, but we firmly believe that will not be the case. So to know the exact specifications of Vivo X20 and X20 Plus you will have to wait for another week when the devices will get officially unveiled.
