Being a rugged tablet, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 flaunts military standard MIL-STD 810G certification and most interestingly the touchscreen works absolutely fine even with the gloves on. Not only that, this rugged tablet also comes with an IP68 certification which means the device is water and dust resistant. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 supports S Pen and comes with the Bixby voice assistant.
Talking about the specs, this rugged tablet sports an 8-inch TFT screen with 1280×800 pixels resolution and houses an octa-core Exynos 7880 chipset paired with 3GB of RAM. Moreover, the tablet also comes with 16GB of internal storage capacity which is further expandable through microSD card. Moreover, the Galaxy Tab Active 2 tablet also flaunts an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front snapper.
The tablet runs on the company’s very own TouchWiz OS based on the Android 7.1 Nougat operating system. The device is backed by a 4450mAh battery and includes connectivity features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and USB Type-C port. In terms of the aesthetics, the Galaxy Tab Active 2 looks like a better version of a mid-range smartphone and features a fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button placed in the front. Another interesting aspect of this brand new tablet is that the battery of the device is removable and supports reverse charging that means the device is capable of charging other devices.
