The Taiwanese tech conglomerate Asus has launched a new smartphone in China today named Asus Pegasus 4S. Although the company has not uttered a single word on the price or the availability of the phone, the key specs and features have been revealed on the internet.
Speaking of the specs, the Asus Pegasus 4S sports a 5.7-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution. Moreover, the display is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 2.5D curved glass and comes with an aspect ratio of 18:9. In fact, the Pegasus 4S is the only smartphone manufactured by the company which comes with a full-screen display with 18:9 aspect ratio.
Under the hood, the handset houses a 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 octa-core processor. In terms memory option, the handset comes in two different variants. The basic model features a 3GB RAM with 32GB of native storage capacity. On the other hands, the more expensive variant includes 4GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage capacity. You can also expand the internal storage capacity through microSD card.
In the optics department, the Asus Pegasus 4S comes with a dual camera setup at the rear end. Among the two sensors, the primary one boasts a 16-megapixel sensor and the secondary one flaunts an 8-megapixel shooter.The rear cameras of the handset are accompanied by the autofocus, LED flash, 1080p video recording and other image enhancing features. On the front of the handset, an 8-megapixel snapper is placed to take selfies and make video calls.
As for the software is concerned, the Asus Pegasus 4S will run on Android OS, although the exact version is still unknown. According to various reports, it is going to be the Android 7.1.1 Nougat. Moreover, the handset is backed by a 4,030mAh battery and the fingerprint scanner is placed under rear camera module.
