Coolpad, the mobile device manufacturer known for its budget devices, has launched the Coolpad Cool Play 6C. This is a variant of the Coolpad Cool Play 6, which we have covered in great detail previously. The Coolpad Cool Play 6C has been launched with dual front cameras and has Android Nougat underneath. The device will be available exclusively via JD.com Pre-orders have already begun. The device will start selling from November 25.
Coolpad Cool Play 6C Specs and Features
The new Coolpad Cool Play 6C has a good list of specs and features. It is available, as of now, only in one color: black. Onboard is a 5-inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. For more power, we have the octa-core Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor which has been clocked at 1.3GHz. The new smartphone will run on the Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS in conjunction with 3GB RAM as well as 32 GB of internal or native storage. Also onboard is a microSD expansion slot which can support up to 64GB of added space.
The new Coolpad Cool Play 6C has a single 13-megapixel rear camera that has some great features like Autofocus, an all-new Face Beauty mode, HDR and Face Detection, besides some other features like Touch focus, a Low Light Mode, a splendid Gesture Shot feature, besides Smile detection, as well as Voice Capture. Also onboard is a Manual Mode and PDAF support. As far as the front is concerned, we can see a dual camera setup that is essentially a combination of 5-megapixel and another 8-megapixel sensor which has a 120-degree wide angle and also a f/2.2 aperture.
As far as other features are concerned, the Coolpad device has a 2500 mAh battery, which is slightly disappointing. There is a fingerprint sensor on the front for extra security. This is a dual SIM device and it also offers 4G along with VoLTE, and other connectivity options include WiFi (802.11 ac/a/b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.1, and GPS. There is also a micro USB port. The handset weighs 160 g. The Coolpad Cool Play 6C is priced in China at 849 Yuan, a sum roughly equivalent to $129. The price in India is around Rs 8,330.
