The wholly-owned technology giant, MGCOOL, known for developing action cameras, fitness trackers besides other gadgets, is set to bring a true 4K action camera in the recent future. Extending its Explorer Series of action cameras, MGCOOL will announce a new model dubbed the MGCOOL Explorer 3. Currently, all the models produced by this company comes with a very decent price tag and offers features alike to models that may cost an arm and a leg.
“Enjoy your outdoors and fit workout”, is what the design concept stands for the company. From its Facebook official page, the company states, “we focus on developing the most intelligent and freshest products and service so as to create a more human-oriented and smarter world. We have always focused on innovation and inspiration. At present, we have successfully developed and launched a series of new products under this brand mainly including sports cameras, quick chargers, ANR (active noise reduction) in-ear earphone.” In terms of the upcoming MGCOOL Explorer 3, one may expect some flagship features.
The alleged MGCOOL Explorer 3 may sport native 4K video @30fps, 1080p @60fps and 720p @120fps, reports GizmoChina. Despite the fact that the report doesn’t give us a close hint on the device’s specifications, one may expect a Panasonic sensor paired with a Sharp lens alongside 7-piece glass and EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization).
Furthermore, the report closely confirms that MGCOOL Explorer 3 may sport a mammoth battery which will give allowance to 120 min of video recording. In terms of other specs, the video codec used may be H.264+ that will help to reduce videos’ sizes sans compromising quality. The MGCOOL Explorer 3 will also feature the ultra-wide 170 degrees lens and will be water resistant up to 30m deep (in special cases).
As of now, no further specifications have been revealed by the company, yet we wait for more updates in the coming days.
