Coming Soon to Ghost Recons Wildlands: The Predator

Its true! Fan favorite and cult classic movie character The Predator is coming soon to Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands. The Predator was first seen in the eponymous movie in 1987 where it used to kill off people (and not just people people, special forces at that) for sport, as evidenced by the famous line by Dutch, played by Arnold Schwarzenegger) and it is now coming to the game based on Tom Clancy’s masterpieces.

The game is developed ad marketed by Ubisoft and the Predator is coming on December 14. This new update has also been teased by a single line made famous by the movies from which it draws inspiration: “Can you survive the hunt?” In a report by Polygon, the official text has been quoted, “Watch this teaser and stay tuned to find out more about this upcoming Ghost Recon Wildlands special event!”

From the trailer that we saw, we could also make out the skinned bodies a la the original movie where the Predator is an intergalactic hunter and who skins and hangs up the bodies of an elite US special forces team who were killed to capture/kill him. In fact, this is not the first time that the game had referenced the fan-favorite character: this Easter egg had indicated that the creature, which can only see via Infrared vision, had arrived on the scene.

This is not the first time that the character is arriving on video game screens. It has arrived earlier in tie-in merchandise as well. Ubisoft has also claimed that a ‘new class of soldier’ designed for the game’s PvP Ghost War mode has been introduced, who have been based on the character of Dutch. Ubisoft has claimed that this is where the character comes in. Stay tuned for more updates right here in real time!
