Leaked ASUS Zenfone 3 Screenshots Reveal Android Oreo Update

A couple of months ago, ASUS, the Taiwanese multinational hardware and electronics company launched the ZenFone 4 Series. Since then the smartphone giant has extended its range of devices outside the ZenFfone 4 Series. The smartphones running Android Nougat out of the box were later available in India. With the new Android update, the ZenFone 4 and ZenFone 3 were announced by the company to get Android Oreo update next year. However, newer reports suggest that the ZenFone 3 apparently has already received the Oreo flavor.

Ever since ASUS announced both ZenFone 3 and ZenFone 4 to get Android Oreo update, the tech sector waited, until this new leak surfaced on the internet. Screenshots have popped in where, the ZenFone 3 has been revealed to run the Android Oreo, which is likely offering an early look for us! One may take a glimpse of changes in the UI since almost all features that ASUS has announced for ZenUI 4.0 are not ocular.

Nevertheless, the screenshots don’t imply everything that one may expect with this new update such as picture-in-picture mode and the likes. Also, one may expect ASUS to implement the Project Treble (which was rumored to not come with OnePlus 5 and 5T).

To recall, the ASUS ZenFone 3 sports a 5.5-inch full-HD display and supports a screen resolution of 1080×1920 pixels. There’s a 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC underneath, which is paired with 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM. The device is occupied with 32GB of inbuilt storage that is further expandable up to 128GB by using a microSD card slot.

On the optics front, the ASUS ZenFone 3 comes with a 16-megapixel rear camera and an aperture of f/2.0 with an LED flash. Up front, there’s an 8-megapixel with f/2.2 aperture besides the 84-degree wide-angle lens. Connectivity options also include 4G with VoLTE, WiFi Direct, WiFi hotspot, Bluetooth 4.1, USB OTG support, and the likes. As of now, ASUS ZenFone 3 owners will be happy to see their smartphones running the new Android Oreo!
