Panasonic is one such brand which is happy to focus on its budget segment of smartphones. Recently it has been on a roll with its new Eluga series of devices. Earlier we have covered how the tech giant rolled out the Panasonic Eluga I2 Activ with excellent selfie camera of a 5-megapixel sensor. To go into the depths of this particular news, we need to mention that Panasonic has recently launched another Eluga smartphone touted as the Panasonic Eluga I9 in the Indian markets at a budget-range price.
The Panasonic Eluga I9 boasts a 5-inch IPS HD display and supports a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Underneath its hood, there’s a quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor clocked at 1.2GHz and coupled with 3GB of RAM. On board, there’s a 32GB of native storage which is further expandable up to 128GB by using a microSD card slot.
As far as the photography department is considered, the device features a 13-megapixel primary camera sensor on its rear panel with an LED flash. Up front, there’s 5-megapixel front-facing camera for shooting selfies as well as for video calling/recording. Other features that are preloaded in the camera system are different modes such as burst mode, panorama, watermark, and a list of filters.
On the software front, the Panasonic Eluga I9 runs the Android 7.1 Nougat operating system alongside pre-loaded Google Assistant. There’s a little possibility whether or not the phone will receive the Android Oreo update.
Powering the phone, there’s a 2,500mAh battery, which Panasonic claims to offer eight hours of video playback on a single charge, reports GizmoChina.
As per pricing and availability, this new Panasonic Eluga I9 comes with a price tag of Rs. 7,499. It will be available in three color variants- Blue, Space Gray, and Champagne Gold. For further reports on whether the smartphone will receive an Android Oreo update, one may share this space with us.
