Xiaomi Redmi Y1 and Y1 Lite Go on Sale Today at 12 PM on Amazon India

After the launch of both Xiaomi Redmi Y1 and Y1 Lite, the device initially went on sale in India a couple of weeks ago. Now, if the latest report is anything to go by, both the devices go on sale today on Amazon India at 12 PM IST. The Xiaomi Redmi Y1 and Y1 Lite smartphones have seen a bunch of successful sales. The two smartphone went for flash sales at 12 PM via Amazon India. The devices are available for purchase via the Xiaomi’s offline retail partners such as Reliance Digital, Mi.com.

To recall, both the Xiaomi‘s Redmi Y1 and Y1 Lite come with 5.5-inch HD displays and deliver a screen resolution of 720×1280 pixels. Shielding the devices, there is a pair of Corning Gorilla Glass for each Xiaomi handsets. Under the hood, the Xiaomi Redmi Y1 houses an octa-core Snapdragon 435 SoC paired with RAM of 3GB. On contrary, the Xiaomi Y1 Lite is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor clocked at 1.4GHz.

On the optics front, the Xiaomi Redmi Y1 comes with a 13-megapixel primary camera alongside a flash. Up front, there’s a 16-megapixel camera. On the other hand, the Redmi Y1 Lite features a 13-megapixel rear camera along with PDAF support and a selfie shooter of 5-megapixel (as reported here).

Connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, VoLTE support, 4G, and dual-SIM support. Both the smartphones are equipped with a fingerprint scanner embedded on the rear panel. Powering the devices, there’s the 3,080mAh battery. On the software front, both Xiaomi Redmi Y1 and Y1 Lite runs the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system with MIUI 9 on top.

As per pricing, the Redmi Y1 comes in two variants. While the model with 3GB of RAM + 32GB of internal storage comes with a price tag of Rs. 8,999, the 4GB of RAM + 64GB storage variant is priced at Rs. 10,999. On contrary, the Redmi Y1 Lite comes in a single variant and costs Rs. 6,999.
