Earlier in the day, we came to know about the teaser which was leaked by a Chinese online retailer regarding the launch of the Nokia 6. And now we have got news that some of the specifications of the Nokia 6 have been revealed on GeekBench ahead of its launch on January 5.
Though there has been no confirmation from HMD Global regarding the official launch date of the Nokia 6 (2018), it is teased to get launched on January 5, 2018.
A variant of Nokia 6 (2018) with model no TA-1054 has been spotted on Geekbench. This particular model is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor paired with 4GB RAM. The phone is rumored to run the Android Oreo 8.0 OS.
Coming to the performance, this Nokia device dubbed the Nokia 6 (2018) has received 863 points on the single-core test and 4163 points in the multi-core test. Apart from all these, nothing much has been revealed by Geekbench.
Going by a recent TENAA listing, which has revealed some specifications of the phone, it is expected to launch with 5.5-inches full HD display resolution of 1920 X 1080 pixels and 16:9 aspect ratio. It will sport a 16MP rear camera and 8MP front selfie camera. A lithium ion 3000 mAh battery is going to power the smartphone like its predecessor and will arrive in three color variants: Black, Blue, and White.
Although the recent teaser has tipped the smartphone to launch on January 5, another report has claimed that the phone is likely to launch alongside the Nokia 9, sometime later this month. We can’t be absolutely sure about the credibility of either of the two reports as nothing has been confirmed officially by HMD Global till now. Nonetheless, it is going to be great news for Nokia fans if the first report regarding the January 5 launch date turns out to be true. We are expecting an official word from the company concerning the Nokia 6 (2018) smartphone shortly.
