Rewind to December and we witnessed the unveiling of Galaxy A8 (2018) and Galaxy A8+ (2018) smartphones. The mid-range smartphone, Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) yesterday was reported to have arrived in the European markets with an expensive price tag €499. Ever since both Galaxy A8 (2018) smartphones were unveiled, it was expected to be India-bound devices, the only thing left to unfold was an official confirmation. The company has finally brought Samsung Galaxy A8+ (2018), the higher variant of Galaxy A8 (2018) in the Indian markets.
Samsung, despite developing mid-range segment devices, has incorporated some flagship specs into both the Galaxy A8 2018 devices. As a matter of fact, the Galaxy A8+ (2018) features selfie-obsessed cameras on the front panel. Not just that, it comes with Infinity Display as the Galaxy S8 duo. Four variants have been available: Black, Orchid Gray, Gold, and Blue.
The Samsung Galaxy A8+ (2018) sports 6 inches and delivers an FHD+ resolution. Aesthetical specs include a curved glass design alongside metal frame on the device’s sides. Samsung‘s Galaxy A8+ (2018) packs in Samsung Exynos 7885 octa-core SoC (six cores clocked at 1.6GHz and two cores clocked at a 2.2GHz) which pairs a whopping 6GB of RAM. The 64GB onboard storage is further expandable to 256GB via microSD card slot. Imaging aspects include a 16-megapixel fixed focus and an 8-megapixel f/1.9 sensor at the front. The rear panel is packed with 16MP selfie camera with a wider f/1.7 aperture.
Running the Android 7.1 Nougat operating system, the Samsung Galaxy A8+ (2018) is expected to be upgraded to Android 8.0 Oreo, later on. Apart from USB Type-C port and 4G VoLTE support, the device also comes with a 3,500mAh battery expected to keep the lights on for hours.
The reports earlier shed lights on the fact that both the devices will be Amazon exclusive devices in India. Nothing unlike our earlier report, the smartphone will go on sale exclusively on Amazon India which will start from January 20 (which is a Saturday). The Samsung Galaxy A8+ (2018) device has been launched in India with a price tag of Rs. 32,999.
