Chinese tech giant Huawei would be present at the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2018) to be held in Barcelona later this month. However, it is unlikely to announce the P11/P20 series of smartphones at the event. As per the latest reports, the Huawei P20 series of smartphones may be launched in late April at a special event, to be hosted by Huawei in Europe.
As we had reported earlier that renowned leaked Roland Quantd had leaked the code names of the Huawei P20, P20 Plus, and P20 Lite as Emily, Charlotte, and Anne respectively. He has now managed to reveal more information about the three devices on Twitter through the FCC listing of the Anne device.
As per the FCC ID QISANE-LX1 listing, the Huawei P20 Lite version has a model number of ANE-LX1 and has also revealed that the smartphone may feature an aspect ratio screen of 19:9 and a resolution of 1080 X 2280 pixels. It has also been reported that the P20 Lite version along with the other two variants, the P20 Plus and P20 may all feature an iPhone X like notch.
The FCC listing has also provided information about the dimensions of the new device. It will measure 148 X 70mm which is slightly more than the Apple iPhone X dimensions. This makes us believe that it may feature a display screen of 6 inches. The phone also features a triple camera setup on the rear panel of the phone certified by renowned brand Leica. The phone will run on Android Oreo 8.0 version out of the box and is powered by a 2,900 mAh battery with quick charging facility.
Some of the other features that have been leaked through the FCC listing are micro SD card support for further memory expansion, dual-SIM standby, and WiFi 802.11/n.
Huawei has also recently showcased the Face Recognition Technology, so Huawei‘s P20 series of smartphones may become the first to sport this new feature from Huawei. As a result, these devices are unlikely to feature the fingerprint scanner at the rear of the phone. They are also rumored to sport Kirin 970 chipset along with 6GB of RAM.
