At the Mobile World Congress or MWC 2018, Lenovo has just shown off two new laptops. Both of them have Alexa support. They are a continuation of the popular Yoga series. The two new models also have Alexa support and are called the Yoga 730 and the Yoga 530. Lenovo had earlier unveiled the Yoga convertible laptops at the IFA 2017.
What sets these two new laptops apart is the fact that they have onboard Alexa support. This is indeed something revolutionary. These devices also have inbuilt far-field microphones which will allow the users to call for support from Cortana. This is also the feature that we saw in the Yoga 920 2-in-1 laptop that was launched only recently.
The more premium Lenovo Yoga 730 definitely is one of the most presentable laptops around currently. The device currently comes in two variants which are based on the display size; one has a 13-inch display while the other one has a 15-inch screen. Both models will arrive with the 8th gen Intel Core i7 processor which will then work in tandem with 16GB of RAM. The SSD storage onboard is upgradable to 512GB and 1TB as far as the 13-inch variant and the 15-inch screen variants are concerned, respectively. The larger variant will also boast the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 GPU which will aid in superior gaming.
The Yoga 730 will also ship with a spectacular 1080p or a 4K resolution display, both of which will be compatible with Lenovo’s Active Pen 2 Stylus. These laptops will also have superior thanks to the set of speakers from JBL which is known for its sound output. The 15-inch model will weight at 1.89kg. The smaller 13-inch model is comparatively lighter at 1.2kgs.
Lenovo Yoga 730 and Yoga 530 Prices
Lenovo has priced the devices competitively. The 15-inch model that has the Lenovo Active Pen 2 stylus support will start at EUR 1,099 (a sum approximately equal to Rs. 87,900). This device will be released in April. The 14-inch Yoga 530 starts at EUR 549 (or approximately Rs. 43,900). Sales start in June. Watch this space for more updates.
