Nokia 7 Plus Leaked Live Photo Indicates India Launch Likely

A live photo of the alleged Nokia 7 Plus was leaked by well-known tipster Evan Blass yesterday. Today, a Chinese online news website has also posted the same photo confirming that it may be an image of the soon to be launched Nokia 7 Plus.

The Nokia 7 Plus may become the first device from the house of HMD Global to feature a full-screen display design. It is likely to a full HD screen with 18:9 aspect ratio screen and also Corning Gorilla Glass protection with 2.5D curved glass.

The screenshot has revealed the word “Namaste” written on the top left corner of the screen, which is an Indian word used as a greeting. Also, “Raj Sharma” an Indian name, is mentioned just below the date on the screen. These revelations may indicate that the device may launch in India soon after it is officially unveiled.

The front facing camera as seen on the top right side of the phone is rumored to be of 16-megapixel. It is also expected to be using the same stock UI as was seen with the previously launched Nokia 6.

The leaked photos of the Nokia 7 Plus have also revealed that the smartphone may arrive as an Android One device. The Pearl White and Black variants of the phone also features orange accents as can be seen in the leaked image. The handset may boast a metal unibody design with ceramic finish

As per an earlier GeekBench listing, the device is likely to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset, making it the first device from HMD Global to make use of this chipset. It is backed up with 4GB of RAM and also features a dual camera setup on the rear of the smartphone with 12-megapixel and 13-megapixel sensors. It also features a fingerprint sensor housed on the rear panel of the device.

It may feature a 6-inch full HD display with a resolution of 2160 X 1080 pixels and will run on Android Oreo 8.0 version out of the box.
