It was reported earlier that renowned leakster Evan Blass had leaked the specifications of an unnamed HTC device codenamed “Breeze” on microblogging site Twitter. This Wednesday, he again took to Twitter to reveal that this device codenamed as “Breeze” would arrive as HTC Desire 12, but he has not revealed its price or release date. However, he did mention that the device would be an entry-level smartphone and would be priced accordingly.

He mentioned that the HTC Desire 12 will feature a full HD 5.5-inch display, powered by a MediaTek unknown specification chipset with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage space. As for the cameras, it will feature a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls and selfies. It may be fueled by a moderate 2750mAh battery and may run on the latest Android Oreo 8.0 version out of the box.

HTC had announced last year that it has plans to launch a limited number of handsets this year with a couple of them likely to get unveiled at the MWC tech show that will be held in Barcelona, Spain this year. According to a report by tech site Android Headlines, the HTC U12 may not get unveiled at MWC 2018 and is likely to get launched at some other event in March or April of this year. This is could be because, HTC wants to avoid its products to get overshadowed by Samsung, which is set to release its flagship Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus variant of devices at the MWC global tech show.
