Xiaomi is set to release the successor of the Mi Mix 2 which is dubbed as the Mi Mix 2s at the MWC 2018, which is being held in Barcelona this year. Now, a photo of the new device has been leaked on the Chinese microblogging website Weibo revealing the specifications and the design of the device.
According to the leaked photo, the Mi Mix 2s is likely to feature a bezel-less design with a full edge-to-edge display screen. It is also rumored that the new phone may feature a 5.99-inch full HD display screen with a 95-percent screen to body ratio, just like its predecessor. The leaked photo also revealed that the front camera is placed at the top right corner of the phone. It may be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage space.
It has also been revealed that the device may feature a four-sided curved ceramic unibody design. This phone may become the first to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset and it is likely to have 8GB of RAM and a massive 256GB of internal storage. As far as the cameras are concerned, it may feature a dual rear camera setup with 12-megapixel resolution with optical zoom, auto-focus and LED flash. As for the front, it may feature an 8-megapixel shooter for selfies and video-calling.
An earlier leak had already revealed that the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s has been codenamed “Polaris” within the company and is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. It boasts a dual rear camera setup with 12-megapixel sensors and auto-focus with dual-tone LED flash. The aspect ratio of the display screen is likely to be 19.5:9 and not the traditional 18:9 aspect ratio that is common in many smartphones of the latest generation. There was no information available on the screen size though, the latest leak has revealed that the device may feature a 5.99-inch screen as mentioned earlier.
