We have reported earlier that Motorola is scheduled to unveil the Moto E5 series of smartphones along with the Moto G6 device soon, at least in Asia as the devices have also received their certifications. Motorola had launched the Moto E4 series in July last year but it is expected to unveil the Moto E5 series earlier this year. We have come across a few leaks of the Moto E5 series smartphones over the past few days and now a new leak has appeared to reveal some of the key features of the Moto E5 Plus smartphone.

The leaked live images of the alleged Moto E5 Plus

A tipster has leaked few live images of the alleged Moto E5 Plus smartphone on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo revealing some key features of the new device. As per the leaked live images, the major highlight of the Moto E5 Plus is the 18:9 aspect ratio display with very thin bezels on all the four sides of the handset. The leaked image of the rear panel of the device also shows a glossy curved glass back with a fingerprint sensor that is embedded in the logo of the company. Also as per the images, the Moto E5 Plus may sport a circular camera module on the rear panel like the Moto X4 series smartphones and differ from its predecessor, the Moto E4 Plus.

Renowned leakster Evan Blass had revealed last month that the Motorola Moto E5 Plus is likely to sport a single camera on its rear panel although the leaked image showed a dual camera setup. Blass claimed that the second cutout was for the laser autofocus system and not a camera. Apart from that, the Moto E5 Plus was also expected to come with an 18:9 aspect ratio screen with very thin bezels and rounded corners.

Talking about the other specifications of the smartphone, the Moto E5 Plus is likely to come in two variants with Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset and MediaTek MT 675X Soc options. Apart from that, the new device is expected to come with 5.8-inch full HD display with a resolution of 720 X 1440 pixels, backed with 3GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage and a dual rear camera setup with a 16-megapixel and an 8-megapixel camera.
