We reported a few days ago about a leaked benchmark listing that revealed the specifications of the alleged Samsung Galaxy J8 Plus. Now, as per a report by Galaxy Club, a device bearing model number SN-J800FN has been spotted on the Wi-Fi Alliance certification website, receiving its Wi-Fi certification. Going by the naming pattern of the Samsung devices, it may be deduced that this smartphone could be the Samsung Galaxy J8 (2018). As it has received its Wi-Fi certification, the device could be unveiled very soon.
The Samsung Galaxy J8 is likely to run on the latest Android 8.0 Oreo flavor, however, any other details of the upcoming device are not available right now. As per a leaked Geekbench listing that surfaced some days ago, the device could be powered by Samsung’s in-house Exynos 7870 Soc and backed up with 3GB of RAM.
Also as per rumors, the Galaxy J8 may come with Infinity display panel just like the Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018). Apart from that, the Samsung Galaxy J8+ (2018) could also be unveiled alongside the Galaxy J8 and it may sport similar features to Galaxy A8+ (2018). Notably, a device with model number SM-J805G surfaced online a few days ago and as per speculations, it could be the upcoming Samsung Galaxy J8+ (2018). The device may be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC with 3GB of RAM.
If the Samsung Galaxy J8 duo does arrive with Infinity display screen, then these devices could be on par with Samsung’s premium flagship devices like the Galaxy S9 and S9+ that was unveiled last month at the MWC 2018. Also, the new devices could be priced competitively by Samsung for the high-end smartphone market.
It is to be noted that nothing has been officially confirmed by Samsung till now and all these are just speculations. One thing is certain, however, that Samsung is facing stiff competition from the Chinese smartphone companies of late and this has forced the South Korea based company to manufacture devices with advanced features at competitive prices.
