The upcoming LG G7 has been in the news for quite a while now. The prices of the LG G7 and the LG G7 Plus were leaked last month and it was also speculated that the smartphone may arrive in May 2018. Now as per a new report, the LG G7 may also boast a dedicated AI button and a camera sensor with a f/1.5 aperture on the rear panel of the phone. Also as per a report by ET News, the upcoming device may get unveiled in Seoul and would be available for purchase from mid-May onwards.
The dedicated AI button is expected to be housed on the side panel of the smartphone below the volume rockers, following the footsteps of Samsung that included a dedicated Bixby button on its latest flagship devices. Just like the Bixby button on Samsung devices, the dedicated AI button on the LG G7 will enable users to launch voice assistants more easily like Google Voice Assistant or the company’s own Q Lens and Q Voice.
LG also recently launched the V30 ThinQ which is focused mainly on the AI capabilities developed by the company and maybe to integrate the AI feature better, the company decided to include a dedicated button on the upcoming LG G7 flagship device.
The report by ET News has also claimed that LG will introduce a rear camera with f/1.5 aperture. This would take the device at par with Samsung Galaxy S9 that has the widest camera aperture till date. However, the LG G7 will not feature a dual camera setup like the Samsung Galaxy S9.
The report also confirmed that the LG G7 will sport an MLCD+ display, that takes up to 35% less power than the conventional LCD displays and will impart longer battery life. In addition, the device may arrive with 6GB of RAM with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset under the hood. It will be available in two storage variants of 64GB and 128GB.
