Nokia 7 Plus Teased Online Ahead of Official India Launch on April 4

We had reported earlier that HMD Global, the official license holder of Nokia has planned a launch event in New Delhi on April 4. The company is expected to launch the Nokia 7 Plus, the Nokia 6 (2018) and the Nokia 8 Sirocco smartphone at the event. It has already sent media invites for the event but did not reveal any information about the devices.

Now, the vice president of HMD Global Oy, Ajey Mehta has teased a new smartphone on Twitter just before announcing a new sponsorship deal with Indian Premier League cricket side Kolkata Knight Riders, yesterday.

The leaked image of the smartphone shows a ZEISS manufactured dual camera module with LED flash on the right and a fingerprint sensor just below the module. The phone has a combination of copper and black colors. The Nokia 7 Plus was unveiled along with the Nokia 6 (2018) and Nokia 8 Sirocco at the MWC 2018 global event that was held in Barcelona this year in February. As far as the India launch is concerned, the teaser has revealed that the launch of the Nokia 6(2018) may not happen just yet and the Nokia 7 Plus is likely to be launched along with the Nokia 8 Sirocco.

Talking about the specifications of the Nokia 7 Plus, the smartphone sports a 6-inch full HD+ display with a screen resolution of 2160 X 1080 pixels and full view screen without bezels with an aspect ratio of 18:9. It also comes with 2.5D curved glass cover and Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage space that can be further upgraded with the help of a micro-SD card. It houses a dual rear camera module with a 12-megapixel and a 13-megapixel camera along with a dual tone LED flash. On the front, it features a 16-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calling. The phone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo flavor out of the box.
