Panasonic Launches Lumix G7 and G85 Cameras in India at a Starting Price of Rs 53,990

The Indian division of the Japanese tech giant Panasonic has unveiled two new cameras under its Digital Single Lens Mirrorless category dubbed as Lumix G7 and Lumix G85. Both the cameras are said to support 4K resolution video recording. The Lumix G7 comes with a 16-megapixel Digital Live MOS sensor while the Lumix G85 comes with dual image stabilization and focus stacking and is also dust and water resistant. The Lumix G7 is more affordable out of the two cameras with a price tag of Rs 53,990. Buyers will also get the option to buy 1442mm and 45150mm dual kit lens set at a bundled price of Rs 58,990. The Lumix G85 comes with a price tag of Rs 72,990.

Coming to the detailed specifications of the two cameras, the Lumix G7 packs a 16-megapixel Digital Live MOS sensor with a quad-core CPU and Venus Engine that will allow faster processing of the image captured. The Lumix G7 can also be used to record Quad HD 4K videos at a resolution of 3840 X 2160 pixels and a 25fps frame rate. The camera also comes with regular front and rear dials in addition to a new drive mode and a free-angle screen that spans 3-inch in length. The G7 is also equipped with a 3.5mm mic, time-lapse, WiFi, focus speaking and stop motion.

Coming to the Lumix G85, the camera comes with a 16-megapixel Digital Live MOS sensor like the Lumix G7 but also features a 5-axis dual image stabilization that can suppress blur due to vibrations while capturing an image or video. It also features a 3-inch OLED Live View Finder that can rotate through any angle. The Lumix G85 can also capture videos at 4K resolution and those can be instantly played if the camera is attached to an external display using the HDMI port. In addition, the camera also packs time-lapse, stop-motion, RAW development, and WiFi.
