The Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo, which was a subject of speculations since the last few weeks has been found listed on Samsung’s official India website. The handset with model number SM-J720F which was initially rumored to be the Galaxy J8 has been spotted on Samsung’s official website. This listing indicates that the smartphone may be unveiled really soon by the company.
The user manual of the Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo which was found on Samsung’s official website has revealed nearly all the specifications of the upcoming device. As per the manual, the smartphone may come with a dual rear camera setup with LED flashlights on both sides of it. The device also carries a fingerprint scanner on the front panel that has been embedded in the home button. Apart from that, the device also comes with a 3.5mm audio connector and a micro-USB port for PC connectivity and charging.
The manual also revealed that the Galaxy J7 Duo features Bixby Home. The Galaxy J7 Duo becomes the second budget smartphone from Samsung to come with Bixby integration after the Samsung Galaxy J7 Plus that was launched in September 2017. Samsung’s voice assistant was previously only integrated into mid-range and high-end smartphones of the company.
Apart from the user manual, the Galaxy J7 Duo was also found listed on Samsung India’s website carrying model number SM-J720F/DS. This indicates that the device is a dual-SIM variant and may get launched in the next few days.
The device was also previously spotted on GeekBench benchmarking site and some of the features of the smartphone were revealed. As per the GeekBench listing, the Galaxy J7 Duo may sport a 5.5-inch full HD touch screen panel. It may be powered by Exynos 7885 SoC with two variants carrying 2GB and 3GB RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage space. On the camera front, it is likely to come with a 12-megapixel rear camera and a 7-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. The smartphone may run on the latest Android 8.0 Oreo OS out of the box.
