Airtel Launches Rs 567 Prepaid Plan with 10GB Data and Unlimited Voice Calls for 168 Days

Bharti Airtel has launched a new plan for its prepaid subscribers in the country. The new plan is priced at Rs 567 and will offer unlimited voice calling benefits to the users without any FUP limits. Additionally, it will also offer 100 SMS text messages per day and comes with a long validity period of 168 days. However, this plan is now available only to select customers in some circles of the country. A wider rollout of the plan is likely in the coming weeks. Along with the calling benefits, the plan also offers limited data benefits to the users.

As per a Telecom Talk report, the plan offers unlimited calling benefits to any network in India along with 100 SMS messages per day as mentioned earlier. The plan also offers limited data benefits of 10GB data for the entire duration of the validity period. The data benefit is actually much less when compared to other plans of Airtel and other telcos like Reliance Jio, Vodafone, and Idea. But, it seems like Airtel has launched this plan to target those customers who require unlimited calling benefits rather than data.

The Rs 567 plan from the company is, in fact, the second long-term plan for the customers. It had earlier launched a Rs 995 recharge pack that offers unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS messages per day, 1GB of 3G/4G data per month with a total validity of 180 days. The Rs 995 plan unlike the Rs 567 plan is available in all the telecom circles in the country and for all prepaid customers of Airtel.

The Rs 567 plan has been launched reportedly to take on Reliance Jio’s long-term plans. As per Reliance Jio’s Rs 999 plan, the company offers unlimited calling benefits across all networks in the country along with 100 SMS text messages per day. It also offers a total of 60GB data over a validity period of 90 days. Users have no limitation on the use of data per day. The company also offers a free complimentary subscription to all Jio apps like Jio Cinema, Jio Music and more.
