Asus is expected to launch its first gaming smartphone called Asus ROG phone in India. As per some sources close to the company, the Chinese smartphone maker is all set to launch the device in September this year. However, as of now, no information about the expected price of the device is available.
But considering the specifications and features of the handset, it may be a costly smartphone targeted for the high-end users. As per sources, the smartphone will arrive with first-of-its-kind features that will make it stand out from the rest. The phone will reportedly come with three USB Type-C ports that will allow the users to play games in the landscape mode without losing the grip of their device.
As far as the other features are concerned, the phone will sport a 6-inch full HD+ AMOLED HDR display with a screen refresh rate of 90Hz and response time of 1ms only. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor clocked at 2.9GHz to provide an immersive gaming experience to the users. It will feature 8GB of RAM and a massive 512GB of inbuilt storage. Some of the other features include a GameCool system that will ensure that the internal system does not get overheated with the help of a copper heat spreader and a 3D vapor chamber that has been embedded next to the chipset of the smartphone.
The Asus ROG smartphone also features three ultrasonic pressure sensitive zones that can activate a special X mode. The X mode once activated can optimize the ROG smartphone to run heavy games. It reportedly disables background services, activates the cooling system and changes the inside theme of the smartphone to red to indicate that graphics hungry and powerful games can now be played on the smartphone.
The gaming smartphone also sports a dual rear camera setup of 12MP and 8MP cameras placed in a horizontal configuration. It also features a fingerprint scanner at the rear panel. It is powered by a massive 4,000mAh battery under the hood that supports ASUS HyperCharge technology.
