HMD Global, the official licensee of Nokia smartphones is reportedly planning to launch some new smartphones across the worldwide markets. It includes the Nokia 5.1 Plus that was recently seen courtesy of some leaked renders and the global variants of the Nokia X6. To recall, the Nokia X6 is already available in China and is soon to be rolled out globally. These devices have been spotted on Bluetooth certification site indicating an imminent launch.
A Nokia smartphone with model number TA-1109 has been spotted on a Bluetooth certification website. Although the site does not mention that the Nokia device is the Nokia 5.1 or the Nokia 5(2018), speculations claim that the device could be the Nokia 5.1. As per a report by NokiaPowerUser, the Nokia TA-1109 is listed to come with a MediaTek chipset. A recent leak had also earlier claimed that the device will be powered by a MediaTek chipset which confirms that the model with model number TA-1109 could be the Nokia 5.1. However, as these reports are not from official sources and the company is yet to confirm anything in this regard, it should be taken with a pinch of salt.
The earlier leaked render of the alleged Nokia 5.1 Plus had claimed that the smartphone will arrive with a very thin bezel display along with a notch that will house the front-facing cameras along with a couple of sensors. The rear panel shows a dual camera setup with an LED flash and a fingerprint sensor. The smartphone also seems to house a USB Type-C port and a loudspeaker grill on the bottom. While the top edge of the smartphone houses a 3.5mm headphone jack and a secondary microphone for noise cancellation.
Meanwhile, two Nokia smartphones with model numbers TA-1083 and TA-1116 have also appeared on the Bluetooth certification site. These devices could be the global variants of the Nokia X6 that is currently available in China. A NokiaPowerUser report also claims that the device with model number TA-1116 also appeared in a Russian certification site recently indication an imminent launch out of China shortly.
The Chinese variant of the Nokia X6 comes with a price tag of CYN 1,299 for the 4GB RAM/32GB inbuilt storage variant, while the 4GB RAM/64GB storage variant of the device is available at a price tag of CYN 1,699.
