Samsung is expected to launch the upcoming installment in its Galaxy Note series of smartphones soon. The device dubbed as Samsung Galaxy Note 9 has been a subject of speculations over these last few months. While most of the specifications of the smartphone has been revealed courtesy of a few leaked renders and cases, it has also been speculated that the device may arrive with similar features to its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Now, the latest development comes in the form of an FCC listing that shows a smartphone with model number SM-N960F.
It is being said that this Samsung device is likely to become the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 as the model number is in line with last year’s Samsung Galaxy Note 8 that featured SM-N950. The FCC listing does not shed much light on the specifications of the upcoming flagship device from Samsung. That being said, the listing has revealed that the phablet will feature a multitude of LTE bands, WiFi connectivity, and NFC. The device with model number SM-N960F is likely to become the non-US variant of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 when it launches.
The FCC (US Federal Communications Commission) had received this device two months back in April and now finally it has approved the handset which indicates that the Note 9 may be launched soon by Samsung.
To refresh the earlier speculations regarding the handset, a 360-degree video of the device was leaked earlier that showed the screen guard build of the Galaxy Note 9. It had hinted that the device will arrive with a larger iris scanner than its predecessor. The new scanner may be an upgraded version and may feature better authentication capabilities.
Meanwhile, another report had hinted that the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will arrive with 8GB of RAM and a massive 512GB of inbuilt storage space. An industry insider from China had claimed that the users may see this configuration only if they are “lucky”.
All these reports and the latest FCC listing indicates that Samsung may launch the phablet really soon. As per estimates, the Note 9 may see the light of the day in early August. Until then we are sure that some more leaked renders and rumors will surface online.
