HMD Global has launched the Nokia 3.1 Android One smartphone in the country. The budget smartphone was first launched in Moscow, Russia in mid-May this year. Some of the key specifications of the smartphone include 18:9 HD+ display and a 2,990mAh battery under the hood. The device, being a part of the Android One program will receive security updates for 3 years and major OS upgrades up to 2 years, the company has confirmed.
As far as the price is concerned, the Nokia 3.1 is available at Rs 10,499 for the 2GB RAM variant with 16GB of inbuilt storage. Notably, this is the only variant that is being rolled out in the country at present. It is available in three color options of Blue/Copper, Black/Chrome, and White/Iron. The phone will be available for purchase from July 21 via offline retailers and online modes like Paytm Mall and Nokia online store. Talking about the offers, customers buying the phone from offline stores will receive 10% cashback on bill payments and recharges by scanning the Paytm Mall QR code.
Additionally, customers buying the smartphone will get two Rs 250 movie cashback vouchers which can be redeemed on Paytm by booking at least two movie tickets. ICICI debit and credit card holders will also get 5% instant cashback on making payments through their cards.
Coming to the specifications, the Nokia 3.1 smartphone features a 5.2-inch full HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and Corning Gorilla Glass protection on top. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6750N processor clocked at 1.5GHz and paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage space. The internal storage can be upgraded up to a maximum of 128GB via a micro-SD card.
On the imaging front, the device features a 13-megapixel camera on the rear panel with an LED flash. On the front, it features a 5-megapixel sensor for taking selfies. It packs a 2,990mAh battery to fuel the device.
Connectivity options include Bluetooth, GPS, 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, GLONASS, Micro USB port and 3.5mm headphone jack.
