Samsung had launched four new budget smartphones in the country back in May. The models include Samsung Galaxy J6, Samsung Galaxy J8, Galaxy A6 and the Galaxy A6+. While the Samsung Galaxy A6 and the Galaxy A6 plus had received price cuts last week, the company now has reduced the price of the Galaxy J6 with 4GB RAM. To recall, the 3GB RAM variant of the Samsung Galaxy J6 was launched at Rs 13,990 while the 4GB RAM variant with 64GB inbuilt storage was priced at Rs 16,490. The device will now be available for Rs 15,990 after receiving a price cut of Rs 500.
The revelation comes from Mumbai based retailer by the name of Mahesh Telecom on Twitter. To recall the specifications of the Galaxy J6, the phone features a 5.6-inch full HD display and is powered by the company’s in-house Exynos 7870 chipset. It comes in two variants in terms of RAM with a 3GB and 4GB. While the 3GB variant features 32GB of inbuilt storage space, the 4GB RAM variant of the device boasts 64GB of inbuilt storage.
On the optics front, the device sports a single 13-megapixel sensor on the rear panel with a f/1.9 aperture and an LED flash. On the front, the smartphone sports an 8-megapixel sensor with the same f/1.9 aperture to take selfies and video call.
The Samsung Galaxy J6 runs on the latest Android 8.0 Oreo flavor out of the box with Samsung Experience UI on top. The device also boasts a fingerprint scanner that is placed on the rear panel just below the camera module and is rectangular in shape like the one found on the flagship Samsung Galaxy S9. The device is powered by a 3,000 mAh battery. Connectivity options in the smartphone include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth v4.2, WiFi, GPS, USB Type-C port and 3.5mm headphone jack.
