Vodafone Revises Rs 199 Prepaid Plan to Offer 2.8GB of Data Per Day to Select Users

To take on Reliance Jio and other rivals, Vodafone has reportedly revamped its Rs 199 prepaid unlimited plan to offer more data benefits to its users. The plan of Rs 199 is now said to offer up to 2.8GB of 3G/4G data per day with a validity of 28 days. However, this upgraded data offer is available to select users only. To compare with Reliance Jio, it has a prepaid plan of Rs 198 that offers 2GB of data per day with a validity of 28 days. Additionally, the Vodafone Rs 199 plan also offers unlimited voice calling benefits along with 100SMS messages per day.

As per a TelecomTalk report, the Vodafone Rs 199 plan will now offer 2.8GB of data to select users. To recall, this plan earlier offered only 1.4GB of data per day with the same validity period of 28 days. Notably, this plan is available only in select circles where Vodafone has 4G connectivity. This means Andhra Pradesh & Telangana, Chattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh circles will not receive this offer.

Coming to the unlimited calling benefits of the Rs 199 prepaid plan, it comes with a daily FUP limit of 250 minutes and a weekly limit of 1000 minutes.

The revamped plan with added benefits is now better than Reliance Jio’s Rs 198 prepaid plan that offers 2GB data per day. However, the Jio plan does not come with a FUP limit on voice calls and you are free to talk as long as you want. The Jio plan also comes with a free complimentary subscription to Jio’s bouquet of apps like Jio Cinema, Jio Music and more.

To talk about the postpaid plans of Vodafone, the company recently revamped some of its Vodafone Red postpaid plans to offer maximum benefits along with a free subscription to Netflix and Amazon Prime. Some of these plans also offer bundled ISD calling benefits
